Review policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
ReplyRight writes replies to reviews your customers have already posted. We don't touch the reviews themselves. These rules apply to every client and every agency partner.
What we never do
- We never write reviews, including fake or AI-generated reviews, for you or about anyone else.
- We never buy or sell reviews, and never offer rewards or incentives for reviews.
- We never gate or filter reviews, for example by asking only happy customers to post.
- We never suppress, hide or report honest negative reviews, and never pressure or threaten reviewers to change or remove them.
- We never post from fake accounts or sell followers, likes or other fake social media signals.
What we do
- Write calm, honest replies that you approve before they're posted.
- Post replies only through your business or access you choose to grant.
- Follow Google's and Yelp's rules.
Why
The FTC's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), in effect since October 21, 2024, bans fake reviews, buying reviews for a particular sentiment, undisclosed insider reviews, company-controlled "independent" review sites, review suppression and fake social media indicators. Courts can impose civil penalties for knowing violations. See the FTC's Q&A.
